One day on my way home, I bumped into Evgeny Tchebotarev of 500px. Evgeny and I have been virtual friends for years now, chatting all things photography. We got to talking about AccessNow and 500px and soon came up with this super idea to host an ACCESSIBLE PHOTOWALK. Bringing our communities together to create accessibility through the power of photography. On November 28th, we held Toronto’s First Accessible Photowalk, and turned up the streets with our advocacy magic.

I am delighted now, to announce the winners of our AccessToronto competition. The winner of the Fujifilm X-T10 camera kit for the best photo, capturing the AccessToronto theme is… Brian de Rivera Simon with this amazing shot! A HUGE Congrats Brian!

Thank you to everyone who came out for our first accessible photowalk. The weather may have been chilly, but we were all burning with excitement to see such a fantastic group of people come together for what was pretty much the most awesome time ever. A huge thank you goes out to our wicked sponsors, Fuji, Henrys, our friends at the DMZ, and 500px!

Did you miss our photowalk? Don’t you worry, we will be hosting another one in the spring!
